For soaking, you can use household chemicals or improvised substances, after which the thing is thoroughly rinsed in warm water. Warm water is also used for soaking. In no case should you leave the towel in hot water for a long time - this way the greasy stain will only fix on the fabric, penetrating even deeper into its fibers.
  3. Digestion or boiling... This method is quite old, but effective. In order to remove fat from the fabric, it is simmered for about 15 minutes with the addition of some kind of cleaning agent. It is best to use soda or laundry soap for these purposes. In addition, the fat must be washed first, only then can the fabric be placed in hot water.
  4. The use of aggressive household chemicals... Bleach effectively removes oily stains, however, strong remedies can damage the structure of the fabric or lighten the colored product.

You can increase the effectiveness of the washing powder with an ordinary dishwashing detergent - it breaks down fat well. A small amount of bleach is added to the laundry detergent to remove the stain from the white towel.

Advice! Chlorine bleach is used to remove greasy stains only on white and light-colored fabrics. Colored items are washed with oxygen bleach.

Soda

Soda is used in different ways to remove fat from fabric. One of the most effective ways is to add 5-6 tbsp. l. baking soda to 150-200 g of washing powder and dilute it all in a basin. In such a solution, dirty products are soaked for 5 hours.

The combination of baking soda and laundry soap washes well grease stains. ½ a bar of soap must be grated on a coarse grater and mix the resulting soap shavings with 2-3 tbsp. l. soda. This mixture is diluted with water in an enamel bowl until completely dissolved. Fatty tissue is dipped into the solution and boiled for 20 minutes.

For fresh stains, use a weak salt solution - 1 tbsp. l. for 1 liter of water. Old greasy stains are washed with a more concentrated solution (2-3 tablespoons per 1 liter of water). In such a saline solution, the towel is soaked for 1-2 hours, after which it is rinsed and sent to the wash.

Boric acid

You can wash fat from fabrics with boric acid, which works especially well with dirt on thick or terry towels. To do this, stir in a bowl of hot water 2 tbsp. l. boric acid and soak the product in the resulting solution. Rinse the towel thoroughly before washing.

Ammonia

Ammonia good removes greasy stains with fabric, especially in combination with other agents. In particular, a mixture of ammonia and glycerin is quite effective, which must be mixed in a ratio of 1: 4 and filled with 1 liter of water. Then the towel is soaked in the resulting solution for 2 hours and washed in a machine or by hand.

  1. Hydrogen peroxide... This is one of the most affordable ways to remove greasy stains. Before sending the towel to the wash, the contamination must be filled with hydrogen peroxide. Then the fabric is left to soak in the solution for half an hour.

After 3 hours, the resulting mass is removed from the towel and loaded into the wash. Sometimes the procedure is repeated 2-3 times until the stain is completely removed.
  4. Silicate glue... This method allows you to quickly remove even old complex stains, however, after applying silicate glue, you must thoroughly rinse the towel - the substance can penetrate deep into the fibers of the fabric. Recommended proportions of digestion solution: 1 tbsp. l. glue and 1 tbsp. l. washing powder for 3 liters of boiling water. The powder and glue are stirred, destroying all the lumps, after which the product is lowered into water and boiled for about half an hour. Then the rest of the dirt is washed in the machine.
Important! Gasoline, turpentine, benzene, ether, acetone and alcohol are not only flammable, but also strong-smelling agents. With their help, towels are soaked in well-ventilated areas to avoid severe headaches.

How to remove grease from kitchen towels with household cleaning products

If you do not have the time and desire to soak the towels for several hours or boil them using improvised means, you can speed up the process with the help of any industrial bleach. The most effective household cleaning products for greasy stains include:

  • "Vanish";
  • "ECO";
  • "Sarma";
  • "Persol".
Important! Chlorine bleach should never be used for washing in a washing machine. Even if the design of the machine allows the use of chlorine, it can still damage the machine, as well as the product itself.

In its most general form, the process of removing an oily stain using household chemicals looks like this:

  1. The dirty product is washed in cold water and loaded into the washing machine.

Do not add conditioner to the powder container before washing - it will be of no use, although its benefits are undeniable in the case of bath towels. Firstly, the conditioner forms a protective film on the surface of the fabric, which makes it harder to remove dirt. Secondly, it does not remove odors, but masks them.

Fresh dirt can be poured over with dishwashing detergent and soaked overnight. In the morning or evening of the next day, the towel is taken out, rinsed in warm water and sent to the wash.

Finally, an ammonia solution will help remove the greasy stain from the white fabric. It is enough to apply 2-3 drops of the substance on the dirt before soaking or washing, the solution acts as a bleach.
